An open door for Oxford's homeless community

I know everyone is anxious to hear the news about the selection of a new project director for the Gatehouse and it has now been confirmed that Katrina Holmes will start on 15 September!

Katrina is currently working for Restore in a senior role and has had 17 years' experience of delivering services for vulnerable people. She will be working for the Gatehouse full time.

Katrina and Andrew will have nearly a whole month's handover time, as his last day in post is 10 October.

And there's more good news: the garden works are due to start on Mon 11 August, co-inciding with our
two-week break - so that should mean as little disruption as possible to Gatehouse sessions.

A big thank you to members of the Oxford Multi-cultural Community who treated Gatehouse guests to a hot meal - literally, it was a wonderful curry! - as part of their Ramadan observance. What's more, they came back a few days later with a surprise package containing a new microwave once they realised that the old one wasn't working. Special thanks to Afsana for master-minding the whole thing.
