At our AGM in 2011 we launched the Moving Home Appeal, with a target of £175,000. One year on, the target has been met and the Appeal was formally closed at this year's AGM, held on 14th April 2012. This was an opportunity for supporters to see what our new premises look like, to celebrate the move and thank all those responsible for generous donations, fundraising activities and work on behalf of the appeal. After the formal business of the AGM, the Revd Mary Gurr, Oxford's Homelessness Chaplain, introduced a variety of people talking more about life on the streets and at the Gatehouse.
This project relies largely on voluntary workers and donations of money, food and other items. If you want to know more about helping us in any of these ways, please visit the how to help section. If you would like to donate to our regular running costs by credit or debit card, then you can use either our Just Giving web page here (also accepts PayPal) or the Charities Aid Foundation web page here (also accepts CAF Charity Card). General information about volunteering is given here.
As well as this official Gatehouse site we also have our own creative website constructed by and with our guests. You will find details of the Wednesday Art Group, creative writing, photography, the GateWay free paper and other activities.
See also a scrapbook of photos from years gone by.
