How To Help

The Gatehouse is a charity highly dependent on good will, energy and funding from a wide range of people and organisations. If you are keen to be a part of the The Gatehouse, come along and help out at an evening session. You could even give a hand with the inevitable admin. If you don't fancy working in the cafe itself, we would still appreciate your support: money, clothes and prayers... all of which are essential to the daily running of the project, and without which we could not open.

Becoming a Volunteer - helping at sessions or in one of the many other tasks needed to keep the project running

Providing Food - as a group providing sandwiches and cakes, making soup during the winter, or offering other suitable food

Donating money or goods - we are always grateful for financial support and you'd be surprised at all the other things we can recycle

Shopping Online - use The Giving Machine to access all your favourite online shopping sites and the retailer makes a donation to us at no extra cost to you

Promoting Awareness - making sure that everyone knows about the work of the Gatehouse and how it benefits our local homeless community

Helping us find a new home - it is likely that at some time in the future we will need to move from our current location, so ideas for a new base are welcome

Supporting The Food Bank - to ensure good food which would otherwise be disposed of as waste can go instead to people who need it
